The Heartless? [Who or what are the heartless?]

[Looks up inquisitively, the tears still clinging to the corners of her eyes] It wasn't the Dark Kingdom?

The heartless. The dark creatures who look kind of like living shadows?

I haven't heard of the Dark Kingdom.

There must be some way to go back. [Although what Eagle said earlier was to the contrary] Please forgive me for having forgotten the usual pleasantries.

[He deserved some explanation for being so kind and trying to be helpful] My kingdom is embroiled in a terrible war with the Dark Kingdom. Our soldiers fought valiantly.. however our enemies got the upper hand.

I'm afraid.. I still don't quite understand what has transpired, or how I arrived here. I used the last of my power to save the others..

Who are these heartless, and what do they want?

Eagle does move to stand as well. There was no reason to kneel down to her level if she was recovered enough to stand up again. ]

The heartless appear to want hearts since they don't have hearts of their own. I don't know where they come from or even how they can be defeated. I do know that I won't stop until I find a way to defeat them.

This is called Traverse Town, it is sort of the meeting point for those people whose worlds have been taken over by the darkness. I'm not sure how we managed to get here when so many others did not make it.

It is possible. I have met some people who have told me people from their worlds had arrived.

[Sadly, it hadn't happened for him though. ]
