These two need more interaction. At the moment, Ven respects Obi-Wan but doesn't really know him. Which only leaves them room to get to know each other, but the worlds need to stop almost-ending first. But, from what Ven's seen, Obi-Wan is a sensible, hard worker, a good fighter, and a supportive person. There's much worse qualities to build a friendship on.
And yes me and Lucy have already talked about Qui-Gon adopting Ven XD Sorry Obi, it's just too precious an idea to get rid of.
