She is so glad Hotaru is here. On the other hand, it sort of uncomfortably highlights how much the situation in SK has damaged Ami, because she's not able to react with quite as much burning faith. Oh, she still has hope; but she recognizes it as a very slim and distant thing, because she's been beating her head against the walls for a few months.

At the same time, she admires it, and is trying to use it to help her remember to stay strong and hopeful herself. She's eager to work together, fight together, and perhaps more importantly, play together and hang out. She doesn't really tend to think of Hotaru as much younger than herself and the others.
